There was a fantastic turn out for the seminar and Professor Zahran was made very welcome and the day, as always, was received very well.

Implant Course held at Glasgow Dental School 14th March 2009
Professors Ashraf Ayoub, Fraser McCord, Khursheed Moos of Glasgow University in collaboration with OsteoCare™ presented a course to Post Graduate Students and Dental Nurses entitled "Current Concepts in Dental Implants & Alveolar Bone Reconstruction".
The format for the day comprised of lectures by Professors Ayoub, McCord, Moos and OsteoCare's Clinical advisor Professor Amr Zahran, Cairo University, followed by a Hands-on workshop, using mandibles, which was informative and well received.
Professor Ayoub also performed two implant cases using OsteoCare™ implants.
1st Case
Patient was an endentulous eighty-year old man who received two Midi Ball Implants.
2nd Case
Patient was a twenty-three year old female who received a Midi Post Implant.
Both patients were very happy with the procedure.
The day finished with a general discussion and rounded off in the evening with a Gala Dinner at the Amarone Restaurant, Glasgow.

Driving for Diabetes - 4th - 8th August
Ken Robson from Bristol Pegasus Motor Club, a friend of John Gauld, Consultant Engineer for OsteoCare™ participated in a Charity Event for Diabetes UK. Ken drove a Marlin 5exi Sports Car at the Spa Francorchamps Formula 1 Circuit, Belgium and Nuburgring, Germany in order to raise money for the charity.
OsteoCare™ proudly sponsored Ken to enable him to raise the funds for such a worthy cause.

Professor Zahran has now returned to Egypt after another successful week hosting FREE One-Day Seminars on the OsteoCare™ Implant System.
On this visit as well as our usual venues of Colnbrook and Brighouse, Professor Zahran included, Aberdeen and Tamworth.
As usual Professor Zahran’s presentations were was well received and we would like to extend our thanks both to Aberdeen Dental Education Centre and Castle Ceramics, Tamworth for allowing us the use of their facilities. Also, of course, our most sincere thanks to Professor Amr Zahran for his time.

With the start of New Year, the OsteoCare™ 5-Day Intensive Implant Courses, held in Cairo, Egypt and hosted by Professor Amr Zahran have recommenced.
Over the past three years they have proven to be beneficial to both the general practitioner as well as the more experienced implantologist.
Again, the delegates who have just returned from Cairo have expressed their appreciation of what they consider to be a fully comprehensive and informative course, with ample live surgery for them to participate in, with many placing more that the six implants included in the cost of the course.

Professor Amr Zahran has again hosted a 5-Day Intensive Implant Course at the OsteoCare™ Training Course in Cairo, Egypt. Nine delegates from the UK attended and between them they placed 71 implants. Although very tiring the course was greatly appreciated by all the attendees and certainly lived up its name of an Intensive Dental Implant Course. Our thanks once again go to Professor Amr Zahran for providing such a comprehensive course.

Dr Amr Zahran, Professor of Periodontology, Cairo University, was delighted to be invited to speak at the ADI Forum held on 10th November at King’s College, London
He has written a paper on the “Clinical Evaluation of the OsteoCare™ Mini & Midi Implants for Immediate Loading of Mandibular Overdentures”, which was accepted by the ADI and delivered at the Forum.
This paper is to be published in one of the UK Dental Journals, the name of which will be announced on our website in due course.

Professor Amr Zahran, OsteoCare™’s UK Scientific Consultant, has completed another successful week of FREE One-Day seminars throughout the UK.
On this occasion, as well as the venues in Colnbrook, Berkshire and Brighouse, West Yorkshire he presented to delegates at Queen’s University, Belfast, which once again was very well received.
As always, the seminars have generated a lot of interest in the OsteoCare™ Implant System, as a result our course in Cairo is fully booked until February 2008.
We would like to extend our special thanks to both Dr Zaman and Dr Hassan, who kindly took time out from the Fresh Smile Clinic, Brighouse, to present their cases using the OsteoCare™ System.

On his recent visit to the UK to host yet more FREE OsteoCare™ One-Day Seminars,
Dr Amr Zahran, Professor of Periodontology, Cairo University had the pleasure of meeting Dr Barry Edwards, one of the pioneers of Implantology, whose ingenious and innovative ideas were the basis for the OsteoCare™ Implant System.
Dr Zahran has also recently visited Syria to host OsteoCare™ Dental Implant System course at the Health Care Hospital, Aleppo, organised by our distributor Dr Rami Moustattat and our thanks go to both, for their efforts in producing a comprehensive programme.

Our recent free one-day seminars held across the UK, once again attracted a large number of delegates.
This time we included in our venues the new £4 million Aberdeen Dental Education Centre opened in November 2006, as well as Brighouse, West Yorkshire and Colnbrook, Slough.
The hospitality we received in Aberdeen was greatly appreciated and we look forward to hosting more seminars there.
Our thanks go to all the people involved in ensuring that our seminars ran smoothly and of course to Professor Amr Zahran for making his trip to the UK so worthwhile.

Having attended our Free One Day seminars held in the UK, hosted by Prof. Dr. Amr Zahran, a number of delegates went on to our 5 day Intensive Implantology Course in Cairo.
As always the course was very well received and the delegates found the level of expertise from Prof. Dr. Amr Zahran most enlightening as well confidence building.
Between the seven delegates in attendance they placed 68 implants, enabling them to experience a high level of implant surgery.

Our presence at the London Dental Showcase, held at the ExCel Conference Centre, London, from 5-7th October attracted a large of number visitors to our stand.
Mainly, the OsteoCare™ Mini, Midi, Maxi & Maxi Z Implants using the flapless surgery technique proved to be the attraction, with the added bonus of Dr Eric Duodu, one of our clinical consultants, offering hands-on sessions throughout the duration of the exhibition.
As a result, many of our visitors are now booking their places on our 5 day Intensive Implantology Course, held at our training centre in Cairo, Egypt, hosted by Dr Amr Zahran, Associate Professor of Periodontology, Cairo University.

Dr. Amr Zahran once again in his capacity as OsteoCare™ Scientific Consultant hosted lectures for the Syrian Association of Preventive Dental Medicine in Aleppo, Syria in conjunction with our Syrian distributor Dr. M Rami Mousattat.
OsteoCare™ was also the official sponsor for the 2nd International Syrian German Congress of Implantology, Aleppo, Syria where Dr Zahran presented three lectures and held two one-day implantology courses for over 70 dentists.

The 2nd was held at The Palace Hotel and 3rd day the location was Khartoum University. 60 dentists attended this course for the OsteoCare™ Implant System, with Dr Amr Zahran as Senior Lecturer.
The 4th and final day was a presentation for The International Association of Dental Students, 53rd World Congress with more than 200 attendees.
The programme over the four days was very well received, a lot of interest was generated in Sudan and Dr Ahmed will continue his promotion of OsteoCare™ over the coming months.
We would like to extend our thanks to the Dean for the Faculty of Dentistry, Khartoum University for allowing us to use the venue.

New Maxi-Z Implant
Following the great success of our standard Maxi Implant, Dr. Amr Zahran, the Scientific Consultant of OsteoCare™ in collaboration with Mr. John Gauld, OsteoCare™’s Consultant Engineer, have modified the crestal module design of the standard Maxi implant to produce the new Maxi-Z implant.
The Maxi-Z is available from September 2006.

Dr Hakim Zaggut, our newly appointed distributor for Libya, has run two very successful Mini & Midi Implant Courses. One of which was held at the 2nd Libyan Dental Conference in Tripoli. Dr Zaggut has now trained over 55 dentists from his two courses. And there are more planned in the future.

Dr Amr Zahran, has completed another intensive OsteoCare Implantology course in Cairo. There were 18 dentists in attendance from countries throughout the Middle East.
The dentists were extremely pleased with the quality of training and Dr Zahran’s vast knowledge of placing implants, giving them the confidence and enthusiasm to place implants at their practices.

Dr Zahran our Scientific Consultant from Cairo, has once again hosted more successful Mini, Midi, Maxi & Mazi Z presentations – two in London on 3rd & 10th June and one in Leeds on 7th June.
His presentations inspired many of the delegates to introduce these dental implants into their practice and also to attend his 5 day intensive course in Cairo.
The presentations also allowed the attendees to gain some hands-on experience with the OsteoCare™ Implant System - an element of the day, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Dr Amr Zahran was once again influential in promoting the OsteoCare™ Implant system.
This time at the International Dental Implantology Congress, Alexandria supported by German & Egyptian osseointegration societies – DGZI & AOIA respectively.
Dr Zahran hosted an OsteoCare™ pre-congress course on 26th April attended by 20 delegates.
He also presented a lecture entitled OsteoCare™ New Generation of Dental Implants (New Concepts) in the main hall, which attracted a large number of attendees and was, in fact almost full to its capacity.

Dr Amr Zahran lectured on 21st April at The Dental Doctors Diploma Course in Madrid, Spain, hosted by Dr Primitivo Roig.
The subject was the indications and techniques of the OsteoCare™ Mini, Midi & Maxi implants with flapless surgery.
With the current steady increase in the use of flapless dental surgery in Spain, the lecture was very well received and our thanks to both Dr Amr Zahran and Dr Primitivo Roig.
